May Ensign Up, Over 2600 Downloads Served!

I pleased to report that to date more than 2600 downloads of Church audio and video files have happened because of your use of this site. It’s clear that we’re well on our way to serving more people and helping them listen to messages about the restored Gospel.

May presented an interesting question for us: do we “skip” the May Ensign issue and try to invite people to sign up for our Continuous Conference Audio or Video programs? Or would it be better to try to post the Conference audio as part of the continuing podcast of the Ensign magazine? In the end, we put up the Conference audio, but because there were 39 articles (excluding statistical reports and other administrations) and only 31 days in May we opted to exclude the Priesthood and Young Women’s sessions from our May schedule. If you’d like to hear those sessions, we invite you to get started by listening to on of our Conference programs.

I’m pleased to announce that we’ve now scheduled out the video of April Conference to run every day through mid-October. Now you can watch Conference on your video iPod while you’re at the gym, on your Apple TV at home, or even just on your computer screen. If you have high speed internet then these video files will take a few minutes to download, but they come through to iTunes at higher resolution than your standard TV. It’s great to see the Church provide such wonderful quality resources to help us continue to follow the prophets.

Enjoy being more prepared for your fourth Sunday lessons and for life!

Conference Program Started

We’ve just launched a new program: Continuous Conference. As always you can subscribe with iTunes or by email. This is exciting for us, since now we’ll be able to listen to General Conference over and over again until the next Conference comes out. This will really help us be more prepared for the 4th Sunday lessons: Teachings of Our Times. Each ward chooses their own Conference talks for this one, so if we’re listening to all the talks on a regular basis, we’ll be better prepared to learn and contribute in class for the talks chosen by our respective local leadership.

The process of scheduling these Conference talks is only partially automated, but we’ll try to be as consistent as possible with the our manual scheduling over the next week or so.

We hope you enjoy being more prepared!
